I booked the hotel and got confirmation form Trip.com about the successful booking. After a six hours drive with little kids, we arrived at 8.20 pm and got told that the hotel is booked out. Middle of the night we had to find another hotel for 5 people in Baton Rouge. Very poor job by trip.com....they did not even called us. As Elite member, I also shocked about the response from the hotel...nobody called, nobody cared....will not booked here again (either business or private).

Placement is excellent close to shopping mall, restaurants and highway.
The cleaning service is down to minimum 1 over 3 days and sometimes 1 in 7 days. This is too much.

Breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs were real eggs and delicious. It was nice to have fresh strawberries and blueberries. Woman in the kitchen was accommodating and eager to please. She took great pride in her work and it showed. She kept breakfast area clean and well stocked.
Front desk clerk was happy to give us a room away from elevator.
Room was a disappointment. Trash can had not been emptied and sink had not cleaned thoroughly. This was the shabbiest room I’ve stayed in. Not up to the usual Hyatt standards.

I was pleasantly surprised as to how nice the accommodations were considering the low price I had paid to book the room. I have paid twice as much at other hotel brands. Seeing as I travel often, both domestically and abroad, the Hyatt Place will be my first choice whenever I'm looking to reserve a room.

Ok I’m giving this place 3 stars because the room itself was fairly nice but I had reserved a room with two queen beds (because there were 3 adults) and placed a deposit only to arrive and be told that they had no rooms left with two beds. We were told that we could have a room with one bed and a pull out couch. At 10pm at night, I wasn’t in a position to try to find another hotel but kind of wish I had. Also, probably not the fault of the hotel but there must have been a large friend/family celebration and there were people running up and down the hallway, screaming and carrying on until 3 in the morning. We left at 6 am the next day with almost no sleep by any of us. I definitely wouldn’t go back.

The room was not as expected as shown in the photos. The cabinets were damaged and the door handles were rusted. Looks like a 1980s room.

The room was very clean and had enough space for my family of 5. The breakfast was very good. The only problem we had was the air conditioner would not allow us to adjust the temperature. When we called the front desk they asked if we wanted to switch rooms but it was so late it would have been a big pain to move all our stuff and kids to another room so we just tried to tolerate it.
