I stayed here almost every winter when we visit the mammoth lake. This year, I noticed there had been changes to staffs. The staffs did not have self-initiative. I stayed for 3 nights, and requested for room service on the second day. However, room service was overlooked. Nothing was done to the room. We were so shocked, went to the front desk to let them know. They were apologetic but did not offer any solution. As returning guest, we had to suggest to them what they should do instead. At that time, there were two staffs at the front desk, the other staff wasn't helping us, decided to jump in and made a statement that they don't do room service daily. That was totally unnecessary. I have mentioned to the staff at the checked-in that I would like to have room service on the second day. It should be captured in their system which was not. In addition to that, one the first night of our stay, my son had an accident on the bed, therefore, a room service was much needed. We reported to the front desk about it and obtained a replacement sheets on the first night. They were aware of it. Another thing, we have an infant traveling with us, my wife was asking for hot water. Before they remodeled the dining area, we were able to get hot water when we requested from the staff. To my disappointment, when we requested for hot water, the front desk staff told my wife to get the hot water from the room faucet. That was totally unnecessary, irrelevant and inappropriate. I wouldn't drink hot water from the faucet, let alone offering that to my infant child. With all the dramas, we have requested a call back from the manager. It was a male manager who called back and my wife took over the phone and told him the situation. Instead him being apologetic, he told my wife off. He accused us being rude to the front desk staffs. We did not yell or scream at the staff even though we were frustrated. Also, he told us what was wrong to drink hot water from the faucet. In all honesty, we now know that, it drew a picture where a manager has that sort of unwelcoming attitude, hence all the staffs below him. This place is going downhill for sure. I hope the owner will see this message and do something about it. As far as I know, this will not be my first choice place of stay anymore. To all families and individuals out there, if you were to read this message, please go elsewhere. They do not welcome guests to this place like I did, being yelled at from the male manager. I will never forgotten my conversation with the manager. Utterly ruthless.
