Captain Cook Motor Lodge

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to everyone. The staff are warm and welcoming and the cleaners are fantastic at their job. Whenever we had the door open, we were acknowledged by the staff or other guests walking past. The room was perfect, lots of space, smelt clean, was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Shops were a stones throw away, we didnt need a hire car or taxi to get around. We will most definitely be back, it felt like home! Thank you to the wonderful staff at this motel, we couldn't be happier with our stay.

The room was great, comfortable, clean and spacious. We stay in a King Room with spa. Unfortunately we didn't have time to utilise the spa bath.

Perfect for the overnight corporate stays. Plenty of easy access parking, spacious rooms to spread out and relax in, TV set at a good height (very important).

Location is good the unit i was in are close together, so when you’re neighbors are out side your door you can hear them quite clearly & the trucks passing by 06am

Suited our needs and had the amenities that we wanted. Close to the shore.

Very clean and neat. Traffic noise from logging trucks was initially disturbing.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Really appreciated being able to leave my car there for an hour or so after I had checked out. Had a lovely chat with Joedine when I left :-)

The accommodation was warm, clean and comfortable. The terrible aspect of our stay was the rugby team who partied from just after 2pm check in through to sometime after 8pm (when we breathed a sigh of relief) then started up again when they came back from a boozed up night on the town, partying again until at least 4.30am. There was no safe way contact reception as they closed at 8.30pm & there was no published number in the compendium to call for afterhours help. I spoke to the rubgy team manager across the carpark in the morning to say what awful guests they'd been & how they'd ruined our stay. His ridiculous response was that he wished I'd come to talk to him at the time. I said noone in their right mind would complain to a rugby team that were pi$$ed as newts, yelling, screaming, blaring music in their rooms, in the carpark & outside our room. They'd taken over the place. He then said he could only apologise. Too little too late. I said they should think about others before staying anywhere else. I told him my son would be going into a sports event with no sleep because of them, he was knackered as a result so they could stick their apology up their a#$e. On checkout at 8.30am, I was asked how our stay was & I told them what happened. They asked what time the team had returned - to me meant they were aware of their behaviour from 2pm to the time the team went out or until reception closed. If that's the case the hotel staff could and should have put them on notice.
