Comfort Inn & Suites Hampton Near Coliseum

Flooring in lobby and heading towards elevator needs to be repaired. touch up paint needed on doors and outside railing along front entrance needs to be cleaned. The morning I left at 345 am I had to haul my luggage down 3 flights of stairs due to the elevator being out.

The room smelled of urine; had to spray some body spray, and so tired; I had to get past it. I was too tired to ask for another room. The area is sketchy, and I had stopped here once before off I-64 during the day and was put off by the loiters across the street. Booked it online and was specifically trying to avoid this area. My fault. Again, just decided to be brave and roll with it. In the middle of the night around 03:00am, someone tried to open my door. So thankful I had the big metal bracket slid over. If not, I don’t know if I would be alive at the moment. I was so scared, I didn't move for about an hour. When I mentioned it to the man at the desk when I left way earlier than I needed…he said maybe they were going into the wrong room. I said not sure, maybe you should check the camera footage if you have any. There was evidence of door jam damage around the area where the lock to the door would be. I also heard two noises. One where someone sounded like they were opening the door and another that banged against the extra protection bar. I should not have heard any of that noise if they had a key and was at the wrong room. Scary as can be. Do not stay here if you are a woman, and alone.

Staff was very helpful and polite. Only area of concern was in my interaction with the night auditor, I needed a new key, he stated my last name as well as my room number loudly, while there were other guests in the lobby. Which is an safety concern/risk..

Nice, quiet location. Smooth check-in and check-out. Everything was clean. Fully stocked towels.

I booked a solo stay for NYE. The suite was up to par, well cleaned with fresh towels. The bed was firm and the pillows were comfortable. The hotel is also less than a mile away from shopping centers and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here. I did not have an issue with my stay

the room was clean and comfortable for what we needed. some paint was peeling on the ceiling. Breakfast was: cereal, waffle iron, danishes, and eggs and gravy. They lock the lobby at night which I liked. We checked in late and there was a phone we called and a gentleman showed quickly to let us in.

It was clean and quiet. The tv in my room froze the second night and I was too tired to go to the front desk. They don’t restock your room with fresh wash clothes and towels but I guess that’s part of the green initiative. The breakfast was very bland and kinda cold. When traveling for business…the small things make a big difference

No safe to store valuables in the room. Breakfast was not very good. Hotel was clean. Rooms were clean.

Every staff member was polite and professional. Greeted us and said hello, good morning, good afternoon, etc every time they saw us.
