We enjoyed our visit to ANEW Hazyview. The resort had a bit of a Mexican villa feel - which wasn’t what we expected. The hotel is undergoing some remodeling, but the renovated areas are gorgeous. Our room was comfortable and clean. AC worked great. Grounds were gorgeous. Lounge area was very comfortable and we enjoyed watching the monkies from the lanai. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. BOMA supper experience was GREAT!! Seversl people on our tour had petty complaints - wanting ‘American’ standards in everything. Well, you’re not in the US - you’re in a remote and beautiful part of Africa! The location is stunning, the service is excellent, and the food (especially the BOMA) was great. The hotel isn’t perfect - but you see the potential and the dedication of the staff to provide a welcoming and safe stay is exemplary. You’ll be comfortable at the ANEW. Relax and enjoy the surroundings … my goodness, I still cannot believe I was in this fascinating corner of the world!!

The hotel's front door face is nice, but the internals are a different story. It was if the hotel was rushed into operation, and was not quite ready for a large group of people as for those of us in the Gate 1 tour. There were aspects that were nice, and then horrible deficiencies in other areas, like phone did work. Shower stall looked like it was a rush job to finish. No fire sprinklers in the ceilings (in the USA that is a serious code violation and a hotel could not open). The BOMA dinner was nice, once they got the bon fire to work. I'm just not a fan of eating in the dark. I like to see my food. The staff was nice and pleasant. Its a bit of a good-bad story. I'm sure in time this hotel will be fabulous, but at the time of my visit it was not quite there yet.

The location was ideal, near Kruger Park. The hotel was very South African, Memories of Africa with dark bedroom furniture, old faucets, big bedroom which overlooked the pool. In the same complex there were plenty of restaurants and shops.

The place and just the view of the place is very breath taking, you can forget about the outside world while there. Staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and open. What ever activities you booked outside venue the staff will assist you like wake you up so you can meet your appointment. So it is top for me

We really really loved this place. At first I thot since it’s a resort it’s gonna be noisy but it turned to be a quiet , and good for my liking. I liked the its bushyness, their yard / garden is filled with greens, Very well maintained and clean and open space. The staff very friendly. I loved this place , I also enjoyed the pool.

ANEW is one of the best local resorts, has the staff and their facility is very quiet and appeasing. I'd recommend this resort to anyone who fresh air and great new experience. As for their swimming pool side, it's a big wooow

Might be ok when the renovations are complete but we arrived to a building site no proper bar or restaurant yet never mentioned in advert on *********** ,Also road to resort is rough and full of potholes room was nice but a bit noisy

we stayed here in nov23 and the lodge had recently gotten new owners. the complex in undergoing renovations and will most likely be nice once finished. we stayed in a renovated room which was spacious and nice (comfortable large bed, aminities with safe and bathroom (bath was not changed was chipping)), but one couple in our group had an non renovated and the road to the room was a dirt road being refitted. the restaurant was closed for renovations so we ate in the conference center (not cosy). we had an afternoon at the pool (2 pools in need of a big clean) with a background music of drills and construction. also the pool bar was closed. we asked twice for someone to come and get our orders, when they finally came, several items were not available (no sparking wines or champagne, only half the gins, …). By the time our drinks arrived at the pool, they were no longer cold. at breakfast there was no possibility to have water included in breakfast, it was payable?!? when I mentioned this at reception, they said it was not true. concerning the fact that the pool bar was closed, they replied opening of the pool bar is to be ordered at reservation of the room?!? this lodge has potential but will need good management to get it on track and the renovations need to be completed.

Power tripped when we turned the Aircon and the lights on at the same time. Key card kept breaking due to phones apparently. Fake Aircon Breakfast wasn't bad Nice sceneries Bathroom was nice and clean Friendly staff Parking was pretty tight
