Kapama Southern Camp

Good stay overall but management did not satisfactorily attend to issues. The manager on duty did not take proper time to understand the issue around hot air ballon cancellation.

We loved Kapama! We took our son & his wife and their 3 kids - they absolutely loved it / the game ranger & tracker were wonderful

We saw the big 5, stayed in top-notch accommodation, and really enjoyed the food. Made use of the spa for an excellent massage also.

I cannot rave about this place enough! 110% recommend to anyone! We stayed for 4 nights and it was such an incredible experience. The staff were incredible, from our safari guide (Sivan), tracker (Orrice), caterer (Sam) and everyone in between! Every single person had a welcoming smile and asked us how we were doing / if there was anything they could do for us. On the safari we saw so many animals and managed to tick off the big five within the first two days. We took some incredible photos and our guide (Sivan) was very knowledgable about the different animals. The early starts were definitely worth it! On the morning hame drive we stopped for 20 mins or so to have a tea/coffee/hot-chocolate break, which was great to stretch your legs. For the afternoon game drive, we did the same thing but with beer/wine/spirits, which was even better! There was soooo much food and all of it was great! With the early mornings before the game drives, we were given tea/coffee/hot chocolate and some pastries/breads. Then after the game drive we had a HUGE breakfast, starting with cold foods (scones, breads, cheeses, fruit, muffins, etc.) and followed by hot foods (choice of full English, pankcakes, french toast, omelettes, and more!). Lunch was equally impressive, consisting of two courses (different menu every day) usually a soup of the day, followed by a tasty meal (e.g battered fish, chicken skewers). For dinner we had a different menu every day and we were able to choose between two or three different starters, mains and desserts (e.g, lamb shank, chicken curry, beef ribs, ostrich steak). All of it was really nice, good food and great portions! On top of all of that, they also did a “high tea” every day between lunch and dinner, which included scones, muffins, etc. Our room was really lovely. It was very spacious and decorated beautifully. The bed was super comfy and the bath/shower was sublime. A really beautiful hotel all round!

My wife, our daughter and I spent 3 days at Kapama and had an amazing time. The transfers to and from the camp were easy. Reception was great and the rooms were luxurious. All the meals were delicious and they had a gluten free options for my wife. We had the same safari guide and racket for all four rides. They ere very knowledgeable about the animals and their habits. We were able to see the big 5 in the first 2 rides plus many others. Overall it was an amazing experience.

We had a few nights at Kapama and had a very wonderful stay. The staff was very welcoming and attentive and our game drives were amazing. The food was very delicious, comparable to a 5 star restaurant. Our room was clean and stocked with all the necessary things.

What a great safari experience. Terrific accommodations and food. Saw plenty of game and the guides were fantastic. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The outdoor dining experience was a delight. Overall very professional.

The excellent guides and trackers were extremely knowledgeable, educating us about the flora and fauna while maneuvering us up close to the many fabulous animals roaming Kapama. Between game drives we enjoyed family-style dining with delicious meals multiple times per day. And our luxurious accommodations were relaxing, contemporary and spacious (double sinks in the bathroom were especially appreciated). Overall, we were very well taken care of!

Kapama Southern Camp far exceeded my wildest expectation . From arrival until departure it was an experience I will rave about for years to come . The hospitality food staff attention to detail deserve a 6 star review . My Villa was an absolute designers delight and the deep bath and choice of both indoor and outdoor showers ..a treat .. Alvonia was amazing on service and F&B while Adolph The Ranger and Oris ( the tracker) where a formidable team . We saw all big 5 Game
