It has been more than a decade since I first stayed at Traditional Homes. I walked in off the street after a booking at another hotel was unavailable and the manager was so friendly showing me to a beautiful room on the second floor. And then as we got talking he found out that I was the photographer who did publicity shots for them a decade ago. He then offered an upgrade with the suite on the top floor with a small terrace looking out over the city. It was as clean and as elegant as it was 10 years ago. Absolutely love this place and give the place, their staff, location and food all 5 stars. Two minutes from the amazing museum and the square. Thank you. Definitely we will come again.

A very unique, rustic and charming guesthouse. There are steep stairs to the bedrooms so not good for people with mobility issues. A very nice room with comfortable bed, hot shower, tea and coffee making facilities, some toiletries, hairdryer on request. One minute from Durbar Square. Their cafe is open all day serving good food and the breakfast was the best we had on our tour of Nepal. A great but too short stay.

Lovely place to stay. It was very cute, comfy beds, quiet at night, very attentive and lovely staff, hot water, drinking water, wifi and a cute little restaurant below. I’d definitely recommend and stay again.

It is a haven of peace. Very healthy a**osphere in the rooms. People very kind and helpful. You eat very well. Traditional architecture. It was my second stay and I'm looking forward to go back. Once the street work are finished the access will also be better.

I have been staying at Traditional Homes Swotha more than 10 times over the past years. The place is very charming, with a cosy, warm and peaceful a**osphere. It is a little oasis in the middle of the busy city, and it has been my home away from home everytime I was visiting Nepal. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Breakfast is delicious. I can only recommend to stay there, and take the opportunity to thank them for always making my stay in Nepal very special.

I picked up the card for Swotha on a trip by myself in Kathmandu in 2010 and returned 13 years later to finally stay there. I am so glad I did. Awesome location. Super staff. Lovely rooms. Great breakfasts. If you are quite tall (I am 6'4" or 196cm) there are some places where you could bump your head so you need to be careful.

The rooms were exceptionally comfortable, clean, and provided a peaceful and quiet rescue in the busy city. The staff's attentiveness and friendliness were remarkable, they went above and beyond to fulfill any request. The breakfast was delicious, great coffee. I very much enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it to others!

I love this place and have stayed here countless times. It is a beautifully restored, old house, right in the centre of Patan, very near Durbar Square, but in a sideline, so it does not feel touristy. The rooms are full of character, with beautiful wooden details. The decor and bedding is all quite minimalistic, which I like, but might not be for everyone. Everything is spotless and comfort is taken care of, e.g. electric blankets for winter. I would also like to mention the breakfast, which is delicious and healthy, and the coffee is excellent!
