Hotel Amazon Bed and Breakfast

We booked a three night four day package based on some very good reviews. Hotel was really nice BUT the the jungle adventure was not what we expected - day one tour of Leticia was a actually a trip to an island to see trees and fruits and lunch - interesting as one tourist spot but recommend visiting ethnology museum in Leticia before doing anything for context. There is also a botanical gardens and a cemetery (if that’s your thing!) to look out (which we unfortunately missed) On day two set off for our o/n ‘adventure’ but joined a group of day trippers (with their two guides) with obviously different expectations to us. We visited about five islands all set up to entertain the tourists with dance shows, photos oops with monkeys and chances to buy souvenirs - the visit to a town for lunch was ok. We were eventually dropped off at 1630 for a pick up for our jungle experience - unfortunately there was a miss communication which meant we weren’t picked up until 6. The small boat drive on the river at dusk was spectacular but arrived too late for a night walk but agreed early morning bird watching which didn’t happen due to rain( no one’s fault) After breakfast we walked for two hours - cut short by rain but then lunch and off! We ended up waiting in a mooring for two hours for our next pick up. We also paid for a translator who was more of our guide for whole our trip so I’m not sure what we actually paid for So all in all very poor value for morning - they said they would improve it next time so hopefully they will, but worth checking or don’t book but two days jungle trip separate and spend time wondering at round Leticia day one

This is a lovely, quiet and green hotel in the center of Leticia. Very helpful staff, nice spacious cabins, good breakfast and even AC (a little). Great placebto explore leticia and rest up after a jungle tour.

We were extremely impressed with the quality of this place for all the following reasons: location, safety, diverse and organized tours, professional and courteous staff, cleanliness, tropical and comforting decor, flexibility with our time and change of plans! We stayed for 5 nights, 4 days and it was perfect! They picked us up from the airport, quickly had us drop our bags off, in their very highly secured hotel, then whisked us off to lunch at a Peruvian boat house restaurant, then to Brazil for dessert and shopping. The next two days we were sent on a boat to Peru to stay in the Amazon jungle where they made sure to have all our boxes checked off on what we wanted to see and do! The last day we hung out with the locals to fish for Piranha but they also have a canopy tour you can do as well; we just wanted to lay low that day! Anyway, the city of Leticia has numerous money exchange places, restaurants, shopping and parks. There is plenty to do there so stay in Leticia for most of your time! Reach out for any questions you need answered because I would love to promote a place that I feel is underrated!

Great location, excellent value, very helpful and friendly staff. They organised two trips for us with a very good English speaking guide. The food in the hotel was very good. The hotel is within walking distance of the main square where the parakeets congregate in the evening and the boats.

The best hotel in Leticia. A lovely hotel with a fantastic team! We stayed in a spacious bungalow with a comfortable, big bed. We really appreciated that the team organized all the activities and tours for us. The 2 day trip to the Peruvian jungle was a highlight!

Myself and friends stayed here for 3 nights recently, we arrived just to ask to see if rooms available, the team were so nice and helpful, within 10 minutes we had our rooms. The rooms are huge, incredibly clean, and great air conditioning and a fan if needed. The bed linen as good as any 5 star Hilton, the same for the towels, all washed and ironed at the hotel. Breakfast included, and was excellent, eggs bread, coffee and juice, all served with a smile. We looked at a few hotels on foot before fining this place, take it from me this is the one to stay at, it actually made our stay crossing this hotel. Ducks walking around the hotel grounds, just made it all feel so nice. Well done hotel team, and thanks again

This place is a perfectly fine option for one night if you are planning on a trip into the Amazon. I can't say there was anything special about it - the "lodges" are simple and comfortable, all packed closely together, the breakfast is likewise simple but fine, the staff are indeed very friendly but when there were more than a few tables eating at the same time, the place felt understaffed. Leticia itself (apart from the amazing spectacle of the birds returning to nest in their thousands every evening) though I didn't find particularly nice. Yes it was interesting to walk into Brazil (no border check) for a few minutes, but if anything the Brazilian side was even less appealing. It's a poor place, of course, and for me, it had a slightly sad vibe of a place left behind. That said, you can easily get moto-taxis to nearby places in the jungle to cool off in the scorching heat (just stick a thumb out at side of road and someone will quickly pick you up); the closer laguna is where the local teenagers go to party on weekends and is generally very busy, but there is a river another few kilometers up the road (there is basically only one road out of town) that is harder to find but beautiful and calm. Overall though I would recommend basing yourself upriver in Puerto Narino rather than Leticia. You can easily get a river taxi to there (a couple of hours as I recall). Much nicer vibe, much nicer streets, just a much nicer place.

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful little hotel in October 2022. The garden is so pretty. There arte ducks walking around and we saw humming birds too! The staff here are amazing and so helpful. Everything was very clean and breakfast was delicious. We chose to do our tours through them and everything was organised absolutely perfectly so we didn't have to worry about a thing. We would highly recommend this hotel :)

After a week in the Amazon we arrived at the B&B in need of comfort and rest. We found everything we needed in the room! The bed was large and the most comfortable in a month long stay in many differen hotels in Coloumbia. The owner was extremy kind and brought me coffee in bed at 6.30am even though breakfast was at 7am. We loved it!
