The hotel is in an excellent location, within 10 minutes from the Isle of Palms beach. The breakfast area was a nice amenity with good food selections.Housekeeping was pretty good, although they did not vacuum the room, a requirement for me for beach area hotels. Also, the bathroom in the room we were assigned to had not been serviced by maintenance in a while. The tub was aged with areas of rust in the tub near the drain, and an un-repaired shower bar near the top entrance of the tub/shower. We may use the hotel again with reiteration on expectations and an agreement that such expectations will be met.

Checking in with my wife last night 1/14/24 using an awards night I had on my Bonvoy account for a quick getaway to the Charleston area. Picked this Residence Inn based on its central location. After checking in we were assigned room 204. Navigating the hotel noticed there were dehumidifiers (at least 4 or 5) on each floor. Thought that was odd until we got to our room and realized upon entry the room smelled terribly musty… to the point it nauseated both of us. Also the shower curtain rail was hanging down and soap dish holder pulled out of the wall. The front desk did change our room… but was not very nice about it (not even an apology). Overall the hotel is beat up and showing it’s wear. Not your typical Marriott standard hotel.

Says there is an oven, no there is not. And the king bed is not the bedroom that is handicap accessible. Very dissatisfied. Asked to be moved. No help. Won’t take my review till I type 200 characters ????? Would not want to pay to stay here again.

My wife and I have enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn in Mt Pleasant, SC. The facility is clean and everything we used in our suite worked well. The staff at this place are ALL amazing. they are polite and accommodating. Included full American breakfast buffet available every morning was excellent, Kudos to Shirley for such a beautiful, delicious presentation. Cathy at Housekeeping ( others too ) , Ariel and Jennifer on the front desk ( there were other folks whose names I didn’t catch at the front desk ) Julian on the maintenance team , He was always around and always looking to help us if we needed something. There are several other people who I didn’t learn their names, but each and EVERY one of them were friendly and helpful. To say we felt welcomed and cared for would be an understatement. Looking forward to Our next visit already.

I honestly for the first time have nothing negative to say (usually there's SOMETHING that wasn't 100% perfect). Friendly, efficient staff, rooms were cleaned, parking was good. I used the workout room and pool while I was there, and they were perfectly fine. They even offer spring water in the workout room, which was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast was always hot and a great selection. The eating area was actually very beautiful and clean. Would stay here again, no problem.

Because they went above and beyond, gave us extra attention, and made us feel welcome, we wanted to thank them and give them recognition. Bre thank you for our swift, check in, you were so sweet and warm. Loved exchanging name stories etc. and Breakfast with Shirley, was delicious, she made it fun with good vibes and sweet soul. Watching her interact with other guests was. I’ve too. She dove to help me pick something up when I had too much in my hand and I thought that was so sweet of her! Great hotel, great area, great staff!!! We will be back!

Easy check in. Rooms spacious and clean. Lots of shopping in area around. Area seemed safe. Little not interaction needed with staff as everything was good. Just saw a few little maintenance items but not enough to point out or address. Will definitely stay again if I’m area.

We had a 2-BR suite for 4 nights, perfect for our busy family. The “high points” were: 1. Ariel at the reception desk. She stayed one step ahead of us throughout our stay, and is the epitome of what the hospitality industry should be looking for in employees. 2. Our rooms were spotless, breakfast was abundant and varied and was constantly replenished. 3. It was a scorcher during our stay and the AC worked great - this is a big deal. 4. Parking is free and Mount Pleasant offers a free shuttle to the beach (5 minute ride) and pickup is on the street corner of the hotel. 5. Free bagged ice is available in the Market area (again, thank you Ariel!). What else could a traveller asked for? This was our 5th visit to this property and we’ll be back!
