This place was really wonderful. The outdoor space is nice and relaxing, staff is great, the cleaning staff cleaned the room to spotless every day. It’s pretty close to Mercado Benito Juárez and zocalo square (4-6 blocks) but a little far and a little dark to walk alone as a solo female. Although this is true for most cities. The shower had great hot water and pressure, the tv had tons of channels, both Mexican and American channels (in English). 2 small gripes: the mattress was very hard and extremely uncomfortable. Maybe some of the rooms have new mattresses, I’m not sure. I had a lot of hip and back pain and had trouble sleeping on it. Second, the door to the room had only one tiny lock on the knob which would have been very easy to break into. I’ve traveled extensively all over the world and never had a hotel that didn’t have a deadbolt or additional lock. Just a thought, but some added security would be nice.
