We spent one day and one night at this lovely location, but overall it was an amazing experience. The tents are beautiful, the closeness of nature and the animals were fantastic! Took part in a 2 hours long safari where our guide was super nice and payed a lot of attention to us and the animals. Thank you!

Excellent accommodation, it is unbelievable to stay so close to the animals. A absolute lovely place!!! Perfect to stay with Kids. To stay in a tent but all in a more then higt standard. All of staff extrem helpfull and friendly. Absolutly clean and save.

From the entrance gate ..to reception …to the restaurant ..and everyone working at this lodge ..they make you feel special and welcomed At the restaurant, The chef's expertise really shines through in every dish. It's clear that a lot of skill and passion goes into the food here! Delicious! The service at the restaurant whether it was for breakfast lunch or dinner was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff! Lovely accommodation Nice afternoon Safari ….and meeting the Elephants ..no words can describe this amazing experience! My biggest thanks to all the staff for a memorable stay with you. A special thanks to the friendly ladies at the reception! Best wishes to all from France We shall be back MJ

We had a two days stay at Buffelsdrift Lodge. Food, accommodation and service were excellent. The best experiences were the cheetah walk and the elephant encounter. To summarize: everything was just perfect!

We absolutely loved our stay at Buffelsdrift. The accommodation, restaurant and staff were absolutely amazing. Our young daughters especially loved the antelopes grazing in between the safari tents and big Opa the giraffe walking straight past our tent in the morning. The safaris were great and staff went out of their way to make the girls experience extra special. Would always come back!

I would definitely rate the location and the service 10/10. It’s beautiful and special and the service is great. The only downside was meeting the elephants. We loved feeding them but felt they are good taken care off. But we didn’t like them to be handled with sticks and having to pose like circus animals for tourist pictures. This is making us doubt the intentions of the sanctuary. Is it about conservation and education or tourist entertainment?

We have just returned to the UK from a once in a lifetime trip to South Africa of which the highlight was without doubt Buffelsdrift Game Lodge, we had the most amazing time. The lodges are stunning and you could be in a first class hotel with all the little personal touches and the outside showers ‘quirky’ but really made you feel like you were on safari only with luxury. We could even watch the Hippos from our lodge and when we awoke early the giraffes were less than 50m from us. The game drives were brilliant, night and morning saw so many different animals and birds and the early morning drive was spectacular. The driver guides were all first class and really knew their stuff, clearly passionate about their jobs and passing on their extensive knowledge. We even met the 3 baby orphaned elephants that have been raised at Buffelsdrift and they 100% trust humans now.(how amazing) Couldn’t do this review without also mentioning the lovely food and serving staff. In conclusion if we were ever lucky enough to return to South Africa Buffelsdrift Game Lodge would be at the top of our list to visit again.

Lovely "out of africa" luxury tents. We had young deer-like animals munch on leaves next to our balcony as we had coffee in the morning. we then went on a great evening safari which was exciting and interesting. It was low key and really good value for money.
