AC Hotel Ciutat de Palma

This is a great place if you go to Mallorca for business. Great rooms, very very friendly staff. They have bikes for rent that will get you around if you don't want to take a taxi for everything and it is very close to the marina if you are in for a nice stroll or early morning run.

A 15-minute walk to the Palma cathedral. Many restaurants and pubs nearby. Looks somewhat plain inside as for a 4-star hotel, both breakfast (18 EUR per person) as well as underground parking (28 EUR per night) overpriced. Hardly any perks for Bonvoy Platinum customers (a 10 EUR discount is rather a joke). Rooms comfortable yet do not match a 4-star venue standard.

I was in AC Palma just two nights during a business trip. Staff is exceptional but restaurant is superb. Quite good for a 4 star hotel. Excellent for business trips. I also reserved one meeting room and it was fully equipped.

During my stay in was using a Marriott-issued upgrade voucher, for which I had a written confirmation of its acceptance at this hotel. But the reception staff denied all knowledge upon checkin and publicly downgraded us. Aside from the embarrassment, they still kept the upgrade voucher and its listed as ‘used at AC Ciutat’. Been contacting them regularly since to get my stolen voucher back. The hotel doesn’t care a jot. It’s basically theft!

The hotel is in a great location. Walkable to the shopping center and many restaurant options.

Great value and nice rooms. The staff was so sweet and friendly. The rooms were big enough and the bathrooms were nice. Very nice showers!! heavenly! Best location, close to everything! Free coffee in the morning with croissants. One staff member made sure to tell us it's not free in the afternoon! haha, otherwise it is a great hotel!! And I am a Marriott member so points!

AC Hotel Ciutat de Palma has a lot of potential to be a great accommodation option in Palma. The hindrance is the quality of service of a particular receptionist. The hotel is conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and places of interest. It has a small parking space with very limited slots; but it is also about two blocks away from a public parking area. There is a small gym, too. The room itself has a good amount of space. The beddings are comfortable. The safety deposit box wasn't working due to low battery. There was no digital key contrary to what was advertised. David was the receptionist when we checked in. On the positive side, he granted us early check-in and supposed late check-out. However, the negative points are unacceptable. 1) He was very rude when we were accessing the parking area. The way he asked for the guest's (my) name on the parking's phone intercom was as if I was an intruder/thief who didn't belong there. 2) He was not open to feedback when we highlighted that the parking reservation system could be improved to ensure guests receive the parking space availability memo. He kept on insisting that he sent the memo, without acknowledging the fact that we didn't receive the message. He was defensive, aggressive, and confrontational. 3) He granted us late check-out; but didn't note it down for his colleagues. Cristina had to call us past noon on check-out day to see why we hadn't checked out yet. A hotel's front desk plays an important part of a guest's stay. It was our first day in Spain after a long flight; and David gave us an initial bad impression of Mallorca. AC Hotel can be much better if David's customer service skills are improved.

Booked on Marriott points and were upgraded to a suite due to my Marriott status. We chose the hotel for location and the availability of onsite parking. When i reserved the parking (by calling them) i didn't ask the cost. €30 per day (we were parked for about 24 hours) seems steep but there is limited space. If I'd know I'd have probably looked for street/public parking. Everything I expected of an international class hotel although, to be fair, we didn't use the facilities. Wifi good, everything worked, etc. We found the reception staff excellent and we had both lunch and dinner at places they recommended and the recommendations were spot on. Great location. 15 - 20 min walk to the cathedral via the Santa Catalina district which comes alive at night. There are a couple of cafes across the road so we didn't pay for a hotel breakfast and simply walked across the road for breakfast. A good stay.

Dear fellow tripadvisor community, I've been in Palma already on different occasions and I've been always trying new hotel, this definitely will be ranked on my top list. The check in was fast, room and clean and tidy, it's greatly located, lunch and simple but easy and the bar is welcoming. Gaspar, the General Manager was incredibly nice, the interaction although short, he made few recommendations which complimented perfectly our trip. Thanks for your wholesomeness, See you, McGiver
