The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens, Autograph Collection

Love Calloway Gardens and we usually stay at Christmas which is great because you are walking distance to the walk thru part of the lights. The hotel rooms are clean and spacious…the spa is wonderful and although we e never been in the warmer climate, the pool area is beautiful.

We were disappointed that the lobby was going through a renovation and there was no mention of it when we made the reservation. We were unable to enjoy a warm fireplace on a very cold weekend. We had reservations at the lodge December 2017 and it was such a nicer experience. We were also disappointed in the Piedmont restaurant. The hostess had an attitude and we were expecting a nicer experience for the prices. The atmosphere looked nicer in the pictures. We were celebrating our 32nd anniversary and we expected a better experience.

Wonderful stay! Saw Christmas lights at Callaway Gardens! The lodge was impeccable for us! Our room was on the lake side. We were able to see the Gemini meteors very well! The room even had that "new" smell.We would definitely stay here again!

Let me start by saying the hotel made our stay very pleasant. We only had one issue and Cedric took care of it. The bar staff, Donna and Renee were excellent. The restaurant is a whole different story. We went for the prime rib buffet . Couldn't find an employee to seat us and when we finally did there was no one at the carving station. We walked out and ate at the bar. We brought it to the managers attention. The hamburgers are very good but the fries tasted old. The next night we got fish and chips which were barely warm. Breakfast was horrible! Cold plates, cold food. We paid a lot of money to stay there at resort prices but did not receive resort service. To top it off one of the employees wore a shirt that said Warning I really don't care. And in my opinion that's about how the whole restaurant felt. Unfortunately we had paid for bed and breakfast. They need plate warmers and maybe a microwave where people can heat their food. The waffles could double for a hockey puck. The restaurant definitely needs to get new management. We have stayed at Callaway before and we were very pleased. Not this time and I doubt that we will return. We spent over $2000 and it was not worth it.

My wife and I were invited to a wedding being held in the chapel on the grounds. We stayed two nights. Our room was nice sized with a king sized bed. The one drawback was it was very expensive compared with similar rooms we have stayed at in nicer hotels. Almost $100 of each days cost was taxes and resort fees. We did not use the hot tub or pool but they were pretty. My wife said they need a magnifying mirror in the bathrooms. We did not eat on the grounds but the restaurant was busy at night. They need more premium TV channel options

Our first girls trip in 5 years and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Beautiful place with nice rooms and lovely fall decor. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful! We did have some special staff that we wanted to list…. Ruby was one of the best servers we’ve ever had. We greatly enjoyed talking with her both mornings also. Love her ❤️ Chuck was our bellman/valet car parker. Very helpful and full of information about Callaway also. The concierge Marjorie, breakfast manager Roberta, and shuttle driver Aubrey were also great We had the best time and hope to come back another time.

We enjoyed our stay at The Lodge and Spa at Callaway. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was delicious, and our room had the nicest view of the lake. Even in the rain we enjoyed the various activities, and the children loved the corn maze and pumpkin display. I highly recommend this location.

WOW! I have so much to say! THE STAFF HERE GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND! I was here for a long weekend for my best friends wedding. We checked in on Friday and our room was promptly ready, early even. Our room was incredibly nice. We made our way to the pool bar, and have to say we spent much of our vacation here. Trayvon worked both Friday and Saturday and he was amazing. He made great cocktails and was wonderful company. Friday night we had rehearsal dinner at Casons Taproom - Krista among other staff while probably overwhelmed by our huge group did an incredible job! We had a blast and the live music was a great touch. Saturday, day of the wedding- we wanted mimosas to start the day. Marjorie, at the front desk concierge, went above and beyond to make things happen. She got us a bottle of champagne and delivered it to our room. She was so sweet! Other recognizable workers at the lodge were Carmen at the pool bar, Charlie, who always held the front door for us, Jovis who worked the piedmont dining room, and Mae and Nicole at the sandbar by the lake. The staff is some of the best I've seen in years! I enjoyed every second and never wanted to leave... Sunday we checked in for a one night stay at the cottages, I think these are such a nice touch and I'd love to stay again!! Thankful for a beautiful weekend here! I hope all of these employees get special recognition they deserve!

We are here for Labor Day weekend and this place needs to learn a lot more about the little things before charging $350/night for: - rooms midway thru remodel - unusable Wi-Fi, which is needed cuz cell signal isn’t great and I had to work some (plus it rained and we wanted to watch some tv but needed to stream to a laptop since the cable channels are nonexistent) - crappy TV (no we didn’t come to watch tv but it’s rained a lot and it’s the first weekend of college football, but they have ‘spectrum’ cable and there is an error on ESPN that they are fighting with Disney so it’s not available…) - laminated tv channel guide in room was completely wrong -AC broke and had to call repairman - staff did NOT pay attention to Do Not Disturb sign and came in our room while we were at breakfast… - front desk forgot to give us the wristbands we didn’t know we needed - when we asked a member of the front desk if she could break a $20 so we could tip the wait staff she gave us a canned answer about not having cash (but luckily someone else helped us) -front desk told us to use the app and it came across as / don’t ask me, we tried to use the app but it leaves a lot to be desired and schedules aren’t up to date, menus aren’t in it, phone numbers for attractions are not in it and it has no chat to help get answers… - menus at the bar were presented in nice leather books, but the paper was sticky and stained and smelled of ash tray (lost my appetite) -most of the food was good but the pimento cheese grilled sandwich was burnt black bread with almost zero cheese and globs of jelly coming out, served stone cold -wait staff at bar were polite but talked about all the problems running the place and kitchen since covid to the guests at EVERY table (no wonder our food was cold) -an over friendly old guy who worked outside the doorman came to our car window before we even got out of the car after a long drive and started talking at us like we were his best friends… sorry I’m not one of your 4 year olds you used to teach (yea we had his life story before we even turned the engine off) - we had been driving for hours and needed some space before overly excited lonely old men get in our personal space And this is just problems at the overpriced lodge. The only pleasant part were the staff in the dining room for breakfast. Super nice and not all up in our business. We had similar problems around the park with things being closed that were on the schedule, which was super frustrating. Staff are more than happy to tell you they don’t communicate with each other and can’t help you… sorry next time we wanna explore the park we will stay offsite in a VRBO and just pay the gate fee and have low expectations… I already miss the old motel they just closed… it wasn’t worth what you paid either, but it didn’t pretend to and was close enough to the rest of the things we want to visit in the park. We can’t even do a park review… after the first two things we wanted to see and do
