This place is… not great. The property is very beautiful, and the entertainment is well organized and executed. The room was a bit on the older side with very worn furniture and stained pillows, comforters, etc. This was not a deal breaker, as the cleaners did a good job with overall cleanliness. Another thing to note is there are no outlets by the bed. Not a dealbreaker for us, but it may be an inconvenience for others.
The food was pretty terrible, which is to be expected of all inclusive resorts. One thing I found totally disgusting was the amount of guests taking food with their hands. This was not limited to bread, but things like buffet items. Two people were standing over a sushi station, picking up pieces with their hands and eating right at the buffet!
The overall service was really disappointing. On several occasions, we would get cut in line, and the staff would not do anything about it, even after witnessing what happened. At the bar, we’d have tip in hand and flag down the bar tender just to be ignored when someone else approached - maybe because we’re not fluent Spanish speakers… I waited in line for 15 minutes to check out, and during the process, others were going up to the desk and getting service. This greatly cut into my checkout time, as the person helping me was not able to multitask several requests at once. The level of service was most disappointing, and would be the reason I would choose another resort, such as Iberostar or Hard Rock.
