Basing review on penthouse apartment. Great views with plenty of room. Lorenzo and Bernadette were very helpful and friendly pointing out places to visit and dining options nearby. Also organised transport transfers.
May not look like much out front but Penthouse apartment was great. Would stay there next time

The people running this gem are just the best! So accommodating and helpful. They talked us through parking, driving around, good spots in town (in superb English, for what that’s worth), and upgraded the room to a top floor spot with scads of room and an incredible view of Sicily across the sea. The town was hopping, too. Would definitely return!

Superb place. Close to centre for restaurants with free parking in street straight outside. Huge room with lobby with tea and coffee, plates, cutlery etc. Good quiet air conditioning. Clean. Comfy bed. Breakfast of scrambled eggs, fruit juice, croissant brought to our room to have on balcony. Bernadetta was so friendly and helpful. Superb value.

Pelican house is just amazing. The location is perfect, close to shopping street and loads of great restaurants. The place itself is totally renovated with the most modern furniture and bathroom. Never have we experienced a place in Italy were everything works like clockwork. WiFi is very fast and tv has lots of channels. But the best is the staff working the place, from Lorenzo the owner to his assistant Bernadette who will make the most delicious breakfast. The housekeeping keeps it clean daily. They are so helpful and will tell you everything you need to know about Reggio or Italy for that sake.
Look no further if you want to stay in Reggio.

We stayed here for 2 nights after a long and stressful journey from Sicily. We booked last minute and were warmly welcomed by Lorenzo with a huge smile and a list of recommended restaurants, bars and attractions which were all fantastic. The rooms are modern, spotlessly clean, fully equipped and quiet. We couldn’t ask for anything more. Our best stay in Italy by far. It’s a great location for a 5 minute walk to the main area. We loved Reggio Calabria too, one of the most authentic and reasonably priced cities in Italy. It’s not touristic, it’s s proper Italy. Cannot recommended this hotel and city enough. I’ll be coming back next year. Thank you to all the lovely staff who looked after us so well.
