Turtle Beach Resort

Beautiful place very friendly owners, great ideas for dining, they do everything to accommodate everything they can. This is the 3rd time we have been here, and will not hesitate to return. Property is very well maintained!

We had a great time at this awesome place. The kayaks and canoe rides to check out the manatees was amazing. The owners and staff are very friendly and the amenities they offer are great. Will be back again very soon!

Chose this place for our 40th anniversary and for an “old Florida” experience. The location is wonderful - down past the crowded village area and very quiet. A short walk to the beach, and the pavilion where you can catch the free shuttle. We did not have to drive anywhere. We stayed in The Caribbean lodge, which was more private with our own dock. You’re steps from the water, with gorgeous sunrises. This place isn’t for the faint of heart, however. It is VERY very old and VERY very well used. To us it was more like a fish camp experience. The entire compound felt a little cobble together. The owner and staff were extremely pleasant and responsive to any issue, but with some investment in updates, the place could be a real gold mine. Things were just SO OLD and used. The beds were fine as were the linens, curtains, towels, etc. One cabinet door was hitting the other, and the fridge had rust along the outside, but it worked. No dishwasher or disposal, which as fine (but we washed everything well before we used anything). They have a nice large washer and dryer to use, free of charge, as well as other items you may need for your room (fresh towels, soaps, dish sponges, paper towels, TP at your disposal, which was a nice touch). There were beach chairs, umbrella, kayaks, canoes, and hot tub (which we did not get in). Many barnacles on the second step down to get in the boats. It was a bit pricey, considering you could stay at The Don Cesar at St. Pete (Pink Palace) for about the same per night. Overall, we would not stay here again, BUT, if you have little ones who like to fish or you want to experience old Florida, this IS the place. It’s not for everyone so just KNOW it is super old and very worn out. Kudos to the owner who was just a gem and fun guy! We made the best of it and enjoyed our little camp but if you’re a super clean or fussy person and wanted high end touches, this isn’t the place.

We loved the place…Very funky.. The kitchen was so well equipped, that we ate our dinner there every night..We dident have to deal with the expense or hassle…great view from our dining room table. If you like the idea of cozy little cottages by the water, this is your place.

We visited the Inn at Turtle Beach in early March. Let me begin by saying a great staff flows over into a great resort. The room we stayed in was exactly what we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The sitting area just outside our front door was excellent for morning coffee and the hot tub was very relaxing and private. We could not believe that all 10 suites were booked as we hardly saw or heard our neighbors. If you wanted to go and visit the restaurants or bars a couple miles away we were a 1 minute walk to the trolley turn around. They ran 2 trolleys from 8:00am to 10:00pm so about every 20 minutes one would come by. This was great for the days we wanted to go to Siesta Key beach. You could take your chairs and umbrella right on and these were provided free by the resort. One of our days it rained the entire day so we decided to relax down on the sheltered cabana by the water on the very comfortable furniture that was there, a very relaxing and peaceful place. Ice was provided each day and Elana and the staff met our every need. So if your looking for a relaxing and quiet place to stay with all the amenities the Inn is where you need to be. We will definitely be going back in the fall.

Turtle Beach Resort & Inn is a hidden gem on Siesta Key. We stayed in the Country Cottage on the water and it was beautiful, clean and well equipped. Walking distance to the beach and Ophelia’s restaurant next door is absolutely fantastic. We are planning our trip back.

Elana was great. We checked in with another person who was great as well. The place we are staying in small n quaint. Love it. We are on the bay side. Rooms are clean!! That's important to me and anything u need they are here. Love the pool n jacuzzi.

Turtle Beach Resort is a charming, quiet little inn at the south end of Siesta Key. We enjoyed Jasmine Cottage, a great little suite that was perfect for our short stay. The cottage was clean, it looked just as advertised; staff was great and easy to work with. It was a wonderfully relaxing three days and we would definitely come back.

We stayed here end of December and absolutely loved it, the area and the property in particular are beautiful. We could walk to the beach in 10 mins or borrow the bikes to cycle there in 1, and the views from both sides (over the intracoastal and the lagoon) were just incredible. Having a private hot tub was amazing, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The best bit for me was being right on the water, so if you want to borrow a kayak and go out on the v calm lagoon you can just jump right in, or just walk out of your room onto the jetty to enjoy the view - we saw plenty of nature from here which was really nice. The property is spilt over 2 locations a few mins walk apart which each have their benefits - the adults-only section is on the lagoon side, would be quieter if there had been families at the main site and its closer to the beach but the pool there was a bit on the chilly side in winter. Seashell (no6 I think) was the only cottage with another room above it, which needs the floor soundproofing, but that was due to be resolved a few weeks after we left so I expect they're all quiet now. We stayed on the main site on the intracoastal side, which although families are allowed at, we still found to be lovely and peaceful, and this area has a heated pool. There's a nice fancy restaurant right next door, and some more beach-food vibe places in short walking distance, or you can get to the main town quicky enough on the trolley, or a short bike ride or Uber/Lyft - we did the latter most nights as we wanted to have a few drinks in the bars in town, it was cheap and quick enough to do that. Being a bit out of the main town was nice as it was lovely and quiet around the inn, but still easy enough to go there when we wanted to see some live music. This is now far and away our favourite place in Siesta Key (after a few trips at other nice inns in the area), and we'll be looking for this as first choice every time we go now
