There are only 2 main streets in Sparta and this hotel is on one of them. It's about a mile from the main bus station (18 minute walk?). It's an older hotel and the photos they posted with the nice lighting at Chris**as are not correct. They don't have the lights on during the day, so it doesn't look that nice when you're there in the daytime. It reminds me of a 70s office building converted into a hotel. The rooms need updating. The wifi sucks! They need more powerful boosters. The breakfast, if they decide to serve a buffet (I don't know what the determining factors are), looked decent. I got a room with 2 single cots in it, and the beds were firm and supportive, which I like. The customer service at the front desk was polite and respectful. There's a front patio with chairs facing the street. I think most rooms have a balcony, but not all have chairs. There's a mini fridge and a safe in the room. The overall location is ok, but a slight .3 of a mile walk to most restaurants, grocery stores, and bars. No pool, parking possibly on the main street.
