Travellers Rest Motor Inn Swan Hill

The motel was in need of lots of maintenance. The price was expensive for the condition of the room.

Slightly older motel. Could do with an upgrade of curtains and carpet but clean and convenient. Reasonable priced.

Check in not existing and made to collect keys through the pub adjoining. Pool was dirty and rundown, we didn’t use. Room was filled with cobwebs in nearly every corner. Towels not used by last guest were not changed as there was a ********** on the face washer. Nice spot but this property has had its day and needs a good refurb, though the staff and owners seem to not care.

Owned by commercial club which is opened until 3am, music and noise until then. People came back to rooms nosiy, we had no answer with reporting this to the staff. Kids wanted to use pool, i pulled out southern comfort cans and rubbish, pool was filthy, i wouldnt let kids swim in it. Air con and fan filthy, could see the dust fly off. Greasy finger prints. Chips in crockery. Messy facilities. Lock amd chain ripped off, door knobs missing. Shame, nice old motle, just needs some love. And perhaps the noise could be dealt with better too.

I always stay here when I’m in Swan Hill. Great value and very convenient

First two rooms had light problems no food at all as in breakfast or dinner

Motel is nice. Attached to pub where we had a nice dinner. It’s currently after 2 am. The music is so loud we can’t sleep. Tried to turn tv on to drown it out but no controller to be found. Avoid at all cost

We booked to stay Friday/Saturday night. When we arrived we were advised that the club next door plays music till around 3.30am. This was an understatement, it was like we were in the club. The music was way way loud and then you had the screaming (well some would call it singing) from the pub patrons. We love music don’t get me wrong but this was the loudest i have ever heard and in fact it would be close to being at a live concert. We had an air conditioner that leaked water and we did not find this out until our belongings on the bench were soaked. Through the night we were up emptying the cup and saucer which caught the water drips several times through the night as all you could hear was water dripping when the cup was full. You may ask, why did you not turn it off, it was so stuffy and hot in the room without it. The last complaint is the large black spider sitting on the breakfast hub. We could not stand one more night so we decided it loose the Saturday night charge and go and stay somewhere else, which is what we did . I would rather loose the extra nights fee and get a good nights sleep. You plan a weekend away as a relaxing event not to have to put up the crap. Sorry will never visit this venue again.
