Very nice hotel, great location. Ocean view room that we had is a bit outdated and small but still cozy with a very comfortable bed.

Property is beautiful. Upon check in, the room they gave us had dirt scattered on one of the beds, so they kindly moved us to a garden view room. Upon entry here I noticed a very strong fumigation odor but assumed whatever insect problem had been addressed. I was wrong. I woke up at 3 am to the sounds of large insects scurrying around the floor. Grandma traveling with me got rid of several as I called the front desk and explained that this was unacceptable as we had a long drive to monteverde ahead of us. The manager for the night shift responded by saying that I better be prapared for more bugs there and struggled to find us another room in the middle of the night with significant urging. We were moved now a third time and so far no more large bugs in the room that we can see.

Very well maintained and expansive beach front resort. The property is clean with tree cover in the lawns facing the beach. It has amazing views of the sunset. Great breakfast options. Friendly staff and reasonably priced food menu. Diria also has restaurants covering other cuisines right outside the resort. It is near and in the middle of everything you need as a tourist.
Rooms: The rooms and the interior look little dated compared to the outside. For the price, the amenities in the room are minimal. For that price one would expect bath robes and slippers etc.
Overall: We had a very good stay!

This is definitely the nicest resort in the area. Book the poolside rooms as it offers a more quiet, private restaurant and two beautiful pools that are not crowded. It’s a short walk across the street to get to the beach and use the amenities on that side of the resort.
The beach is sandy with big soft waves that are perfect for beginning surfing, boogie boarding, and swimming. We had a great time.

We stayed in the area across the street where it was so much quieter. We had our own breakfast buffet, which was very good and convenient. The staff there were excellent. The pool on that side was unique and also loved the swim-up bar, where you could also order food. The main dining area across the street was really nice and had a gorgeous view of the sunset. On our first day, the service was very slow, but staff were friendly.
