Great tucked away resort... Being one of the very few guests during my stay, I got full attention and felt well looked after. Pool was nice and breakfast very good, I recommend this place for overnight if going to Yala for a safari.

If you're stopping to visit Yala it is a worthy place to stay. Didn't dip in the pool but the room was spacious, clean with a balcony provided. Staff were helpful, especially after I had inexplicably left a bag behind. There's a few really good restaurants within a 10 minute walk away worth checking out.

We had a pleasant two night stay at the Blue Turtle Hotel. The room was decent and clean enough, though a bit dark. The bathroom was very spacious. The pool was nice, though not sparkling clean. The restaurant was good, and despite what some other reviews say, we found the food to be fine. As we had paid for breakfast with the room, they kindly packed it to take with us when we left at 4.30am for a safari. The staff were very attentive, and the manager even supported us with directions to drive to Dikwella as we were checking out. The location of the hotel is not that great, though it does the job for people who need to stay in the area in order to be picked up for a safari. On a separate note, it is quite shocking (and off-putting) to see how defensive (and borderline rude) some of the hotel's responses are to the less favourable reviews on here. Especially those highlighting challenges relating to accessibility etc. The hotel should remember that platforms like this are not only channels to make valid complaints, but also for guests to share their experiences to help others who might have specific requirements.

Unfortunately, due to a family bereavement curtailing our holiday, we never got to stay at the hotel, but they were so courteous, understanding and kind when we notified them that I need to say thank you and reassure them that we will stay with them when we return to Sri Lanka again.

We stayed here two nights to visit Yala on safari. The hotel exceeded our expectations, it is like a little oasis for the price. The room was a good size and had most things you require in the room. There was also a mosquito net but we did not need it. The bed was comfortable and having a kettle and fridge along with complimentary water is a plus. All the rooms have views over the pool area, which was a blessing to use after a long morning on safari. The hotel arranged the safari for us (thirty minutes to Yala gate entrance), and we were one of the lucky ones to see a leopard along with a host of other animals. The staff were very friendly, particularly Jaya who happened to serve us for breakfast and dinners during our stay. The owner is a charming man who has worked abroad for many years and brought all his skills and experience to create this little oasis which he can justifiably be proud of. We could have easily stayed on longer to just chill out by the pool. Very good value overall.

Duty manager was extremely helpful throughout our stay.
It is fairly rural so it’s a bit of a walk to shops / restaurant or a short tuk tuk ride. Ideal location for visiting Yala NP.
The restaurant food was nice but quite pricy.

We paid a 50% advance payment...for a booking more than one month ahead. A few days after making the payment they called us and told us they have to cancel our booking because there were foreign tourists who were interested in making a booking for the same dates. We've been to this place before just after the Covid lockdowns eased up and therefore wanted to return to stay here for our Christmas holiday... safe to say i will NEVER be coming back here nor will i be recommending this place to anyone! The AUDACITY to cancel a booking that was paid for! To treat locals with so much disrespect! Its the locals that visited places like this when foreigners wouldn't come due to the Covid pandemic!! Shame on you!

Lovely location, great food very quiet and both male and female peacocks visited the grounds whilst we were swimming which was awesome. Pool very clean and staff all very friendly and attentive
