I ended up staying here for at least a full week as I was transferring jobs and relocating every single day. My room was cleaned bed was very comfortable. There is also a fantastic bistro attached to this hotel and it’s very close to the beach so on days off, I was very close to the beach and downtown Venice, where there was some awesome shopping and it was just a good experience matter fact, I’ll be back Within a week great customer service I give a five stars and priced very fair

When we first got to the room, we had trouble opening the door because the knob was out of socket. There was a sizable microwave and mini fridge with a freezer, which was helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room itself was clean. The support bar in the shower was falling apart and the floor of the shower was squishing around like a water bed. The hairdryer did not work and the shampoo conditioner was too in one. All of the rooms face towards the pool and seating area, like a fish bowl. Overall, this is an okay, cheap, clean place to stay for one night if you don’t care about the condition of the room.

I have never seen such a filthy and over priced place before and the Florida health has the pool shut down. People next door very loud and smoking cigarettes do not stay there

I booked this hotel thru ******* then went to check it out a day before. The health department had closed the pool down for unsanitary conditions. The owner was unfriendly and uncooperative. I called him later to say I wasn't going to stay and wanted a refund. He told me to contact *******. ******* told me to contact him. Very unhappy with both but hopefully ******* will make it right. I had trip insurance too.

The room was way to humid. We found it difficult to sleep. The room was shabby with peeling paint and crooked ceiling fan.

A bit of false advertising. Not only was an additional fee tacked on the bill when I arrived At check in, another $10 was tacked on because I had another guest.
This gave Island Sun an advantage over the competition.
I would not have stayed at Island Sun Inn had I known addition fees and the commensurate taxes beforehand.
Cancellation not allowed .
I could not park next to the door.

The inside of the hotel room was much nicer than the perimeter. This could be a great place if you painted the perimeter of the building in the hotel room doors
