Rated it 4 stars mainly due to value for money we stayed in a standard room which was modern the bed very comfortable, the staff were very friendly. Parking limited onsite but plenty on side street for larger vehicles. Bathroom small but functional. Lovely large towels. Great for a night stay so close to main street. We will be back.

Room was Tiny, noisy and could hear everything from the room next to you, to the room across from you! Bed was comfy but didn’t sleep at all with the noise.. staff were friendly and very accomodating.. location was perfect and room was clean .. would I stay again? No

Went to see grandson March out we had been travelling for over 12 hours so when we got to hotel it was great to find friendly staff who were just happy to help . The rooms were big clean warm meal were good when u don’t want to go out , would recommend it

Starting with the positives ….. Townhouse is centrally located, the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, reasonably well appointed and the restaurant was excellent. Friendly and efficient restaurant staff, quick service and superb steaks. We booked a standard room for two nights through a booking agent. After an 8 hour drive we arrived exhausted and keen to make our dinner reservation, catching up with our son who we hadn’t seen for several months, we didn’t pay close attention to our room. Upon our return we discovered we had ‘An Internal’ room…… the window looked out onto the hallway and the door of another guest room ….. not ideal but too late to do anything about it. We are robust travellers and we can handle small rooms but the lack of natural light made the room feel claustrophobic. After a sleepless night in this stuffy room (we could have turned on the reverse cycle heating/air con but it was right over the bed and I was getting over a cold) and with the bright green glow of the smoke detector illuminating the room (it was at the end of the bed) we decided to complain. Stating we wouldn’t have booked this room had we known it was an internal room we were told we should have checked our booking confirmation…. nothing could be done. Our booking confirmation stated we had booked a standard room, with standard amenities, accompanied with a photo of what ‘looked like’ a standard window? We couldn’t stand the idea of another night ….. checked out by 10am, took the financial hit and cancelled our second night and drove 8hrs home again.

The towel rack in the bathrooms are too high for short people. The walls are very thin so got woken at 6 am each morning by noisy neighbours. Thehotel and restaurant are perfect other than that.

Friendly efficient check in, nice spacious room, great location for town centre. Couple of maintenance issues

The only negative was being asked and having to order meals from the QR code on the tables. When we objected the staff member was happy to take our meal order. Many Thanks

There was nothing terribly wrong just not special. The waitress for breakfast one morning was the best staff member. Reception staff were efficient but not overly friendly.
