We overcame an inauspicious start to our visit, since the cleaning service didn't leave the key in the lockbox. Cynthia was very responsive, and she had her assistant provide us with everything we needed for the trip very quickly. We stayed in the Moose cabin. We found this to be very cozy, and it had everything we needed for our week in Yellowstone. My wife and I preferred to go shopping at Costco and Safeway in Bozeman to stock up for our visit at our home away from home. This actually worked out very well, since we ate breakfast and dinner at the place and packed a picnic lunch for our trip each day. Please note that this place is ideal if you want to have a "like home" kind of vacation. Since Yellowstone is ENORMOUS and the weather was favorable, we would spend the majority of the day out at the park before heading back to the cabin. If you're looking for a place to sit on the porch, listen to the birds and go out for all of your meals, this is probably not your place. There is some highway noise from Route 20 nearby, but hardly noticeable once the sun goes down. My investigation of accommodations in West Yellowstone revealed that the vast majority of places do NOT have full kitchens. Even some of the other cabins in town had mini-kitchens or kitchenettes. We found that having a kitchen was an advantage for our purposes. There is even a washer and dryer at the premises, so it was nice having clean clothes in our suitcase for the trip home! The stay at Moose Cabin worked well for our week in Yellowstone.
