I used points & cash to get my son & his family 2 nights stay, after they had a flood. An hour later I get a notice that hotel has also taken almost $300 for a hold. Call IHG & manager calls me & says it was an error and I shouldn't have had any $ taken for hold while using points. On the day that my son checked out, I bought two more night with points & cash. Several hours later I get another notice that another almost $300 is also on hold. It is now, eleven days since 1st stay. Holds have not been released and they are holding almost $600 of my money. I called IHG who tells me manager says she has released 1st hold, but hasn't released 2nd. (No idea why as it had been 8 days?) Neither one of the holds have been released to my bank. IHG customer service say they can't intervene in the billing aspect of a customer's stay and that hotel manager has to solve it.
