I called the hotel twice to confirm my reservation. When we arrived, the clerk said *******’s card payment to them was declined. Even though My credit card was processed and I did get a confirmation number from *******. The clerk canceled my ******* reservation and rebooked us to a different more expensive room!!! We ended up paying a lot more for a room we didn’t want.!!! Very UNHAPPY with the staff at Days Inn at Worthington MN! The hotel was filthy, had holes in the walls, outside door was always open so anyone can walk inside the hallway were the rooms are. The chair in our room was torn up. Paint was peeling, revealing rust underneath, above the bathroom door. The breakfast was ok at best. The vending machine was empty. The air conditioner worked well but it was very dirty! I would recommend new staff and shutting the place down for cleaning and repairs. Until then, NO ONE should stay at this hotel and the state should shut it down!!! It was the worst hotel I’ve ever been in! Management should know staff was not around when we wanted to check out- even after ringing the bell several times! I’m warning everyone about the unsafe, unsanitary conditions plus very poor staff!
